Fly to Spain and transfer by coach to Santa Susanna. The rest of the day you’re free to enjoy the amenities of your hotel and its surroundings, before dinner is served this evening.
After our included tour introduces wonderful Barcelona, you’re free to explore for the rest of the day. Discover Gaudi’s Modernista architecture, explore the medieval Barri Gotic quarter, the famous avenue La Rambla, or ride a cable car to Montjuic’s Olympic sites. After a day crammed full of highlights, you’ll return to the hotel in time for dinner this evening.
Today’s included excursion visits the stunning monastery of Montserrat, a spiritual centre of Catalonia. Accessible only by winding road or cable car, this centuries-old place of pilgrimage offers outstanding views.
Enjoy the hotel’s amenities and surroundings, or join today’s optional excursion to the historic walled city of Girona. A guided tour introduces this typically Catalan city, before the rest of the day is free for exploring. Don’t miss the cathedral’s cool cloisters, the wonderfully restored Arab baths or Europe’s best-preserved Jewish quarter.
The last included tour is a leisurely escorted drive through the rolling foothills – and some higher passes – of the Catalan Pyrenees. Visit ancient Roman Vic, the historic town of Ripoli with its great monastic ruins, the hill-top village of Queralbs and – crossing the border into France – famously sunny Fort-Romeu-Oreillo.
After a wonderful stay in Spain, transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
Hotel transfer times
The transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approximately 30 minutes from Girona Airport and one hour from Barcelona Airport.
Combining hotel transfers
We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.
If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.
The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you’re visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair or electric scooter, please let us know as soon as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
